We’re an enterprise specialized in bio-inputs aimed at cultivating values for generations and we’re driven by excellence, results, and innovation.
Gênica was founded in 2015 by the entrepreneur and agronomic engineer Fernando Reis with the technical/scientific support of Prof. Dr. Carlos Labate from USP (University of São Paulo) campus ESALQ (College of Agriculture Luiz de Queiroz) in Piracicaba, São Paulo State. The drive to create Gênica was the dream to create a company that actually made a difference in the agribusiness through innovation, excellence in technical assistance, and results. In 2017, SP VENTURES, a fund with strategies to invest in start-ups with disruptive ideas and high potential of growth, became an investor of Gênica, which greatly contributed to Gênica’s market view and expertise in innovation. In 2020, another investor came on board to partner Gênica: Nitro Química, a Brazilian enterprise with solid financial structure and cooperative governance. This partnership boosted Gênica business, with the expansion of sales and marketing forces as well as investments in R&D and production capacity.
